Due to COVID-19, we have been running our church over Zoom. We are so thankful to God for this kind of technology as it meant that we were able to meet in a virtual church setting. While it is not the same as a regular church service, it has meant that we have been able to keep each other safe by not sharing any COVID germs. This was especially important when there were a number of cases in Merrylands and the surrounding suburbs.
As the cases of COVID have slowed down, we are excited to be coming back to onsite church in October. We will begin with SIX, our evening service (which starts at 6pm), as it is far less complicated than the morning service. That will prepare us to start our morning service in the first or second week of 4th term.
It is very exciting to think that we will be back, but it will be different. We are still not allowed to sing as a congregation, though there may be songs to listen to. We will not be able to mingle, kiss, or hug each other as we need to keep the physical distancing rules. And we are encouraging people to wear masks to keep each other safe.
Keep praying that our church will be a place where people come to know, grow, and talk about life in Jesus.
