February is going to be a massive month...
Introducing the New Service
Sunday 5th Feb at 12pm (Church Building)
Tuesday 7th Feb at 10am (Ministry Centre)
This will be an information meeting about the new service which will outline the basic principles and direction we hope to take the new service in. I will also be talking about the basic format of the service and what it might look like on any given Sunday. It will also be a time when you can raise any questions or challenges that you might have about the new service.
New Service Training
Tuesday 14th & 28th Feb at 7:30pm (Church Building)
As we are starting a new service which will be different to the older ones, we will be having some training for some of the different parts of a church service. This will include: Music and A/V, Reading the Bible in Church, and Praying in Church. Of course, you can also come to this training if you are a member of another service as the basic principles will work across all services. We hope to provide more training in the near future so that we can all make the most of serving God and one another. Please note that there is a week's break in the middle of these two training events that is because there a Parish Council meeting on the 21st of February.
Final Services in the Old Format
Sunday 19th Feb
This will be the last day for our current church services. It will be a sad day for some people and I acknowledge the difficulty some may experience as these services have been around for a long time. However, to truly welcome the new service we need to farewell the previous ones. We will be thanking God for all the good that has happened through the wonderful ministry these church services have provided.
Launching the New Service & Celebration BBQ
Sunday 26th Feb
We will be launching the new service on this day with a special BBQ lunch after the service!!! It will be a time to celebrate as we look to the future of Merrylands Anglican Church.
